Timmy and I went to the Redskins' season opener yesterday. I got two tickets to the company box (Yessssssss!) The seats were great and there was tons of free food! The COO of the company sat next to Timmy and started gossiping about all the rich folks in the suites next to ours. The Redskins won 9-7.
A couple of things stand out in my mind:
1. When we got there I immediately ate 2 huge hot dogs and drank a beer. Then I got the worst heartburn ever. In the 3rd quarter I went on a quest for antacids that took me all over the stadium. I finally found an ice cream vendor. It helped, but I was afraid to eat anything else for fear the heartburn would come back. I think Timmy made up for it, he ate everything in sight.
2. Whorish Shoe Girl's friend "Paris" also came to the game with her boyfriend. She heard that Jessica Simpson was at the game and would not stop talking about it. Seriously.
3. The Washington Metro - still the best and easiest way to get anywhere.
Totally unrelated but I wanted to share - the Annoying Neighbors were apparently waiting for their utility lines to be marked before starting their fence. They have lines spray-painted all over their yard now, should be any day now. Hoooooray!
